When the news broke of a young woman who had been penetrated by 100 men in a day (I won’t even dignify that experience by calling it sex), it seemed all of my social media feed was awash with opinions on who is to blame for this obvious outcome of a oversexualized culture. Wading through the messages of the most amplified voices, it became clear to me we are a culture unable to process this event in anyway other than to perpetuate misogyny.
